This is the Green Mountains conservation area, a 200,000 square mile region of Libya that is being masterplanned by Foster + Partners. The architect will work with the Libyan government to redevelop the region’s ancient monuments and build eco-friendly hotels, farms and tourist centres. The project is thought to be worth at least £1.5bn.
