Ibstock has published a new version of its Brick Selector, an easy-to-follow guide to brick selection and matching

The guide includes the firm’s Rutland range, which has been developed specifically for the refurbishment and renovation market, and to help with brick matching in the Midlands and north of England.

  • Dulux Trade has revamped its Weathershield Specifier Guide. It includes the latest product information including details on its water-based exterior trim systems, consisting of a flexible undercoat, satin and gloss finish. It also includes advice on extending maintenance cycles.

Rockwool (www.rockwool.co.uk), the maker of non-combustible stone wool insulation, has produced a guide to how its systems can help in the construction or refurbishment of educational facilities.

  • Austrian brick maker Wienerberger has published a brochure for its Smeed Dean and Rudgwick stock bricks. These rustic yellow bricks are still being produced as they were in the 1800s, at the original factory, which is also the last remaining brickworks in Kent – and they still contain the same ingredients.

The bricks remain particularly popular in the south of England, where it has been used on a number of prestigious buildings, including Buckingham Palace and the Tower of London.

  • A loft conversion project guide is now available as a download from the Construction Products Association. It brings together all the Building Regulations and other regulatory requirements for loft conversions.

The guide is aimed at builders, building control departments and householders.
