  • Foremans Relocatable Building Systems has published a new paper - A Client’s Guide to Health and Safety during a Construction Project. The paper, which can be downloaded from www.foremansbuildings.info/reports, has 10 practical steps to help clients improve health and safety planning, including verifying working practices and working at height.
  • Kingspan Insulated Panels Membrane Lined Insulated Gutter System has become the first gutter system to be approved to LPS 1181 by the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB). The company says Kingspan’s Membrane Lined Insulated Gutter System can also be installed at boundary and valley locations and can achieve U-values as low as 0.21W/m2K.
  • Sustainable timber and building materials company Jewson has launched a new tools catalogue website. The website www.jewsontools.co.uk allows trade professionals to purchase the tools they need online, then have them delivered directly to site or collect from one of over 600 Jewson branches nationwide. It covers hand, power, decorating, cleaning, and gardening tools as well as a range of consumables.
  • Building envelope specialist contractor, Lakesmere, has acquired the trade and assets of facade contractor McMullen Architectural Systems. Lakesmere said it is seeking to protect 133 jobs, based in Northern Ireland, where the company has been trading for more than 40 years. McMullen Facades will continue to operate from its Northern Ireland headquarters.
