Timber structure being built in Balingen

Moxon Architects has won an invited competition to build a timber bridge in Balingen, southern Germany.

The firm has teamed up with German timber bridge specialist Ingenieurburo Miebach for the proposal.

The winning design is based around a pair of structural timber beams spanning 40m over the River Eyach.

The pedestrian and cycle bridge will be the showpiece of a regeneration of the town ahead of the 2023 Baden-Wurtemberg Garden Show.
