Seven-storey scheme will feature green roof, a biomass boiler and sustainable drainage

Mulalley has won a £2.1m contract for the redevelopment of a brownfield site in Pitfield Street, Hoxton.

The scheme involves the design and build of a seven-storey, brick-clad reinforced concrete frame structure, which will provide 16 apartments and one commercial unit.bags

The building will include a biomass boiler and will aim to achieve level three of the Code for Sustainable Homes. Other sustainable features include a green roof, sustainable drainage system and rainwater harvesting.

Work is due to begin in June 2010.
