Network Rail’s consulting arm has won its largest contract to date, as part of a British consortium project managing a £120m five-year project in Saudi Arabia.

Network Rail Consulting has won the contract to deliver North South Railway for client Saudi Railway Company (SAR) alongside Serco and Freightliner Group.

Network Rail Consulting has previously won smaller contracts in Australia.

Nigel Ash, managing director of Network Rail Consulting, said: “That a joint British bid has won this prestigious contract against strong international competition demonstrates that we have the right blend of knowledge, experience and expertise within our industry.”
