Scotswood's 1800-home development plans to include UK's first housing expo
Councillors have given outline planning approval to a £380m regeneration scheme in Scotswood, Newcastle.
The 1800-home development will include the UK’s first housing Expo – an exhibition of up to 350 new homes aimed at attracting visitors from across Europe.
The council will now refer the application to the Government Office for the North East for its approval before finally granting planning permission.
It is anticipated that development partner to take forward the plans will be selected by July next year.
