OFF Developments announces that it has received outline planning permission for a new hotel and leisure scheme in the old steel town.

Market Harborough-based OFF Developments has received outline planning permission for a £10m hotel and leisure scheme in Northamptonshire.

The 75,000 sq ft development in Rockingham Park, Corby is the latest boost for regeneration and growth plans in the area.

The development will include an 84-bedroom hotel to cater for the region’s growing number of business visitors and excess demand for accommodation during motor sports events at the nearby Rockingham Motor Speedway circuit. The scheme also includes a health and fitness club, a day nursery and parking space.

Bob Lane, chief executive of urban regeneration company Catalyst Corby, said: “This scheme will rejuvenate a derelict site and provide excellent leisure facilities for local residents.”
