Scottish contractor reports £5.3m in pre-tax profit and a 20% increase in turnover

Scottish contractor Ogilvie Group has posted a 21% rise in pre-tax profit for the year ending June 2006.

The Stirling-based group generated a pre-tax profit of £5.3m on a 20% increase turnover to £176m.

Construction and housebuilding contributed £105m, vehicle contract hire delivered £68m while IT security and telecommunications produced £1.6m.

Duncan Ogilvie, chief executive, said: “This has been another successful year for the company where once again we have seen growth and increased profitability across all operating divisions. Construction and Homes have continued with a successful strategy of joint ventures and partnerships and combined with improved efficiencies, continues to deliver improved margins.”
