Acme and Mae alongside Foster and Grimshaw on LDA list

Young architects Acme, DSDHA and Mae are rubbing shoulders with Foster + Partners and Grimshaw on the shortlist for the Design for London framework.

The 42-strong list is a mix of fledgling practices, well-known London firms, planning consultants and landscape architects.

There are established names such as Allies & Morrison, Edward Cullinan, Foster + Partners, and Grimshaw, alongside up-and-coming practices like Alison Brooks Architects, East and Studio Egret West.

More than 180 firms applied for the framework, which will work with Design for London and the LDA on a range of regeneration and urban design projects throughout London. The appointed panel will be announced in June.
