Nearly half of the content of the bridge by value is recycled

The Wetlands Bridge in the Olympic park, designed by engineer Atkins and built by Bam, has become the highest CEEQUAL rated project ever. The project achieved a 98% score on its CEEQUAL inspection - which rates civil engineering and infrastrctucture projects on their sustainability - putting it well within the “excellent” band for which projects must score over 75%. Nearly half of the content of the bridge by value is recycled and 86% of the aggregate, by weight, is recycled.
