A 29-storey office tower designed by ORMS Architecture Design has won planning permission for Spitalfields in the East End of London.
It will replace a 1970s office tower on Middlesex Street and will form one of a cluster of office towers planned for the eastern side of the City. The tower will be sandwiched between two lower blocks, one of which will cantilever over an entrance plaza. GE Capital is the developer, with Abstract Securities as development manager, Whitbybird is structural engineer, Cundall Johnston and Partners is services engineer and Davis Langdon is quantity surveyor.
