Consultant to support London Underground on upgrading its deepest tube lines
Consultant Parsons Brinckerhoff has won a major role on London Underground’s upgrade programme.
The firm has been appointed as Prime Systems Integrator Support Partner to oversee upgrades to the Piccadilly, Bakerloo, Central and Waterloo & City lines to improve reliability and customer experience.
The scope of the work includes systems integration management, requirements management, systems architectures, interface management and configuration management.
Darren Reed, head of rail UK/Europe for Parsons Brinckerhoff, said he was “delighted” to have won the job.
He added: “This investment represents a fantastic opportunity for the future transformation of the Underground, delivering the much needed extra service frequency and capacity for London’s visitors and residents.”
