Contractor Killby & Gayford has won a £450,000 contract from the Royal Botanic Gardens to construct an Alpine House in Kew Gardens, London.

The curved metal and glass structure has been designed to provide ideal growing conditions for Alpine plants. The project is due to be completed next March. Architect on the project is Wilkinson Eyre, services engineer is Atelier Ten and structural engineer is Dewhurst Macfarlane & Partners.
