Hugh Hefner’s Playboy empire is understood to be looking at at least two sites in central London under plans to reopen the famous Playboy Club in the capital.

According to the Sunday Times, a new venue could be open by 2010, bringing back its bunny-eared waitresses to the city and offering roulette and blackjack to celebrities and high-fliers.

The original Playboy Club on Park Lane was closed 27 years ago. Satellite clubs in Manchester and Portsmouth were also closed.

“We are looking for opportunities around the world. London will be logical for us. We have some very good years there,” Dick Rosenzweig, executive vice-president of Playboy told the paper.
