Turnover edges up towards £300m mark
Profit and turnover were both up at Preston contractor Eric Wright Group last year, the firm has said in its latest accounts filed at Comapnies House.
Revenue edged up 2% to £298m with pre-tax profit jumping 21% to £17m.

The group, whose businesses include its £100m construction arm, £35m civils division and £112m water business, said: “The diversity of the Group’s activities remains a fundamental strength, providing a stable platform for sustainable returns even in more challenging market conditions.”
It said year-end cash was up from £9.6m to just over £11m and added: “Cash flow management and disciplined capital allocation remain central to the Group’s strategy.”
