Government design champions have promised to sponsor two construction projects to promote design quality in buildings.
At a meeting chaired by Lord Falconer, Jacqui Smith of the Department for Education and Employment, Lord Bassam from the Home Office, construction minister Nick Raynsford and Lord Sainsbury of the Department of Trade and Industry all pledged to improve design quality in construction.
