Race starts for £1.5bn housing retrofit framework

Procure Plus has put contractors on notice to carry out the installation of low and zero carbon technologies in social housing stock.

Framework provider Procure Plus has started the search for contractors for a £1.5bn deal to carry out works to support net zero efforts.

The four-year framework is split into 16 lots and covers the installation and maintenance of a host of low and zero carbon technologies.

This includes air and ground source heat pumps, solar panels, electric heating, battery storage and full retrofit packages including insulation and ventilation.
