Division will work across residential and commercial sectors

Consultant Rapleys has launched a retrofitting arm and has appointed Titus Wing to lead the team.

The service is for Rapleys’ clients across both residential and commercial and follows the greater need for compliance in response to legislation such as Awaab’s Law, the Building Safety Act and the Minimum Energy Efficient Standard (MEES).

Wing has eight years of decarbonisation experience, having worked for NetZero Collective, Stantec and Places for People.

Titus Wing is leading the new business

He will be based in the Cardiff office and will work with the national housing consultancy team, led by partner Martin Gladwin.

Gladwin said: “Following changes to the Building Safety Act and the emergence of Awaab’s Law, we are being instructed on thousands of stock condition surveys every month by housing associations, with many of the buildings old and requiring significant retrofitting strategies.
