Aggregate turnover leaps 22%
International quarry and aggregates group Aggregate Industries reported turnover up 22% for the year to 31 December 2000. It rose from £934m in 1999 to £1.13bn. Operating profit increased 19%, from £125m to £149m.

WYG turnover up 19%
Multidisciplinary consulting engineer and project manager White Young Green showed a 19% jump in turnover for the six months to 31 December 2000, rising to £25.2m from £21.2m in the same period the previous year. Operating profit rose 20% to £2.1m.

Brixton in boom
Brixton Estates showed an 8.4% leap in net rental income for the year to 31 December 2000 as income rose from £71.5m in 1999 to £77.5m. Profit before tax increased 7.4% from £40.5m to £43.5m.

Hammerson rent income up
Developer Hammerson reported a net rental income rise of 14.4% to £141.1m for the year to 31 December 2000 from £123.3m the previous year. Profit before tax was down 5.6% from £94.5m in 1999 to £89.2m.
