Consultant will upgrade Anchor Trust care homes in North and Midlands

Consultant Rider Levett Bucknall has won a contract with housing group Anchor Trust to upgrade its regional retirement and residential care homes.

Anchor plans to invest around £3m in refurbishing its portfolio in the North and the Midlands.

Mark Weaver, managing partner at Rider Levett Bucknall, said: “This is an exciting opportunity to marry delivery of our core services with our vision of social responsibility and sustainability.”

The consultant’s three offices in Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool will provide project management, building surveying, contract administration and employers agent services throughout the three year framework agreement.

Anchor, formally Help the Aged, is the UK’s largest non-profit provider of housing, support and care for older people. It is the first time the consultant has worked with Anchor.
