Contractors are lining up to take over contracts held by fit-out firm Miletrian, which has gone into administrative receivership.
Miletrian's clients include developer Artesian and bank UBS Warburg, which is fitting out a data centre in Hayes, west London.

One firm said: "A lot of firms are looking to take over these contracts, especially with the state of the London office market."

Sources close to Miletrian said that administrative receiver BDO Stoy Hayward had maintained a skeleton workforce at the firm's City office, which includes surveyors and accountants.

BDO accountant David Gilbert said last week that he was hoping to sell on contracts and that the Miletrian brand was still strong.

A BDO spokesperson said a full review of the company was now taking place.

Miletrian suffered a loss of £3m for the year to 31 March 2002, largely as a result of one contract.
