Rider Levett Bucknall has acquired Caribbean-based quantity surveying practice Bradley Paul Associates.

The ten-strong practice, which is based in St Lucia, was founded in the early 1970s and has been involved in a number of major construction projects on the island.

RLB and Bradley Paul Associates have been working in collaboration for the last six years, delivering projects including the new €39m National Hospital, providing 14,000m² of space designed to withstand hurricanes and seismic activity, Dive Saint Lucia, the islands premier diving school, and the luxury Six Senses Resort Freedom Bay, which is under construction.

Brad Paul, now principal of RLB’s St. Lucia office, said: “The tie up between the two companies is a perfect combination. We will be able to service both local and international clients investing in St. Lucia utilising our longstanding knowledge of the area, supported by the wider global resource RLB provides.”

Managing director of RLB’s Caribbean operations Mark Williamson added: “Brad has built up a successful practice here in St. Lucia with a reputation within the Caribbean for delivering exceptional service. We aim to build upon that reputation and look forward to working with Brad and the St. Lucia team going forwards.”

Mark Williamson was formerly managing partner of Rider Levett Bucknall’s Bristol office and relocated to the Caribbean earlier this year to grow the practice in the region.
