Launch follows successful trials for Tesco and the Ministry of Justice

Global consultant Rider Levett Bucknall has launched a sustainability ‘health check’ service, to run the rule over clients’ sustainability credentials.

The launch follows successful trials of the service for a number of high-profile clients, including Tesco and the Ministry of Justice.

RLB will offer an all-in-one service to gauge firms’ corporate responsibility, carbon strategy and sustainable asset management.

The QS said the ‘Responsible Management’ service is designed to take advantage of corporate demand for more sophisticated information tools, as firms look to drive down environmental, social and economic costs.

Nigel Mason, head of sustainability at Rider Levett Bucknall, said: “Current market conditions, legislation and recent examples of business failures and corporate penalties are driving corporate responsibility higher up the agenda.

“More businesses are realising the commercial and financial benefits of improving their approach to corporate responsibility.

“Our Responsible Management philosophy represents our commitment to helping clients save money, increase profits and reduce carbon emissions.

“The financial benefits are significant, and in many instances, we achieve payback on investments in less than one year through the resultant savings.”
