Alexander Rontgen becomes RMC’s international director and heads up firm’s new international cement division.

RMC Group has announced the appointment of Alexander Rontgen, age 46, as director of its international cement operations.

Rontgen will succeed Jim Brooks, who is retiring, and will join the RMC board as an executive director and member of the Group board on 10 January 2005.

He leaves German cement producer Dyckerhoff, where he had responsibility for operations in central Europe and the USA, and was a member of the board.

The announcement follows RMC’s decision in June to that it would create a separate division for its international cement business.
