Rock Consulting, the PPP management consultant, and support services group William Pears have set up a company to operate in the NHS LIFT market.

The companies have joined forces with property investor Capital and Provident to create management company BBH Services.

BBH, whose chief executive Matthew Pullen was a director at Rock, has secured work in three LIFT areas in London: Ealing, Hammersmith, Fulham and Hounslow; Richmond, Twickenham, Sutton and Merton; and Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham. Projects range in value from £1m to £20m.

Pullen said both companies had identified LIFT as an area with good growth prospects at the outset of the programme.

He said: "The launch of LIFT was a significant turning point in the PPP market and the education sector has picked up this model with Building Schools for the Future. No doubt other sectors will follow."
