Mineral wool insulation firm doubles capacity at Welsh plant as demand surges for sustainable products
Mineral wool insulation manufacturer Rockwool is investing £70m to expand its operations in Wales.
The company will double capacity at its plant in Pencoed, Bridgend creating 110 new jobs.

Rockwool makes non-combustible stone wool insulation products for thermal, fire and acoustic protection. Demand has surged for sustainable building products, and Rockwool claims that its materials are manufactured from 50% recycled materials.
Construction will begin next month on extensions to the Pencoed plant, with completion anticipated in late 2008.
