St Modwen seeks planning approval for mixed-use scheme at Potteries factory

The former Royal Doulton ceramics factory in Stoke-on-Trent in the Potteries area could be partly demolished and replaced with homes and offices.

Plans have been submitted to the city council to redevelop the site of the former factory in Nile Street, Burslem, which closed down in 2005 and has since suffered several arson attacks.

UK property developer St Modwen has applied to demolish nine buildings and convert the rest into offices and business start-up units, with housing also planned for the site.
