This is the latest image of construction at Salford’s Media City, the BBC’s new home in north-west England.

Bovis Lend Lease’s contract on the project has increased from £351m to £421m owing to the introduction of fit-out works to the BBC offices, the installation of a sustainable generator and additional office space. The 37-acre site will also include retail space and a grand piazza that will be twice the size of Trafalgar Square. The client is Peel Holdings.
