The accident happened yesterday on a building site in the Brownlow Hill area of Liverpool city centre

Seven people have been injured in a scaffolding collapse at a building site in Liverpool city centre.

The accident happened yesterday in an area on Brownlow Hill, near the city’s Metropolitan Cathedral. The developer on the site has currently not been identified, but all seven people are said to have escaped with minor injuries.

The HSE is to investigate the incident today.

  • The HSE is also investigating the collapse of a demolition rig on a Cantillon site in East Croydon yesterday afternoon. It is thought noone was hurt in the accident, although the machine’s operator was trapped in his cab following the incident.
