Practice also given green light for data centre in west London
Scott Brownrigg has completed a 70,000sq ft speculative laboratory scheme at Harwell Science and Innovation campus in Oxfordshire.
The Tech Foundry 3 scheme comprises six mid-tech units ranging in size from 5,800sq ft to 135,000sq ft which can be used as spaces for wet and dry laboratories, R&D and advanced manufacturing. Main contractor was Glencar.
The six units each have their own private entrances and loading doors, and have south-facing glazed facades which look out onto a shared landscape area .
The building includes photovoltaic panels and links to Harwell’s SmartGrid, which uses artificial intelligence, solar generation and battery storage to deliver reliable, low‑cost, low‑carbon energy to occupiers.

Meanwhile, Scott Brownrigg has been given the green light for a huge data centre scheme in west London designed for a joint venture between SEGRO and Pure Data Centres Group.
The 22,365sq m scheme at Premier Park replaces a warehouse on the site with a three-storey spanning nine liquid-cooled data halls and on-site office space.
Construction of the data centre is expected to start later this year.
