Taylor Woodrow shareholders have given overwhelmingly support to its £535m takeover of housebuilder Bryant. More than 83% of shareholders had accepted the deal by last Friday.
The new company will be the UK's fifth-biggest housebuilder with 6000 houses built a year. Its turnover was expected to rise to £845m. Taywood says it plans to use the Bryant brand for its housebuilding business and keep both companies' contracting arms. Housebuilding will be based at Solihull in the West Midlands.
