Crest Nicholson has been picked by the South East England Development Agency to regenerate Southampton's former Vospers shipyard.

It beat Barratt Homes, Berkeley Homes, George Wimpey and Taylor Woodrow to the 12.5 ha Woolston Riverside site. The Richard Rogers masterplan includes 1500 homes and retail and leisure facilities. The site is opposite the Ocean Village scheme and has been used for shipbuilding for more than a century.
