Six bidders are in the running to build a £2.5bn flagship regeneration scheme near the Olympics site in east London.

The scheme, which will involve 8,000 homes, is being let by Newham council after Lend Lease pulled out last year.

According to sources close to the project, the bidders are:

  • ECentral, comprising Chelsfield, First Base, Laing O’Rourke and East Thames
  • Key London Alliance, comprising housing associations Circle Anglia and Notting Hill, and developers Barratt and Inspace Homes
  • Bouygues and the One
