North-east deal will last four years

Interserve is among six firms to have bagged spots on a £100m framework for higher education institutions in the North-east.

The North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium (NEUPC) framework runs for four years and is for minor building works, covering refurbishments, repairs and other small building work.

The framework can be accessed by Newcastle, Durham, Northumbria, Sunderland and Teesside universities.

Regional contractors Esh Construction, Key Property Solutions, MJ Phoenix, Liveco and Sendrig Construction have also won places on the framework.

Interserve completed Durham University’s £11.5m Ogden centre in 2016 through a previous NEUPC framework.
