Skanska UK managing director Dan Williams has been promoted to executive vice president for building services as part of a management shake-up following the departure of executive vice president Andrew English.

The division includes Skanska Rashleigh Weatherfoil and the company’s facilities management operation.

Williams has spent 24 years at Skanska, steadily rising through the ranks since joining Skanska from college as a student engineer and becoming Managing Director in 2023.

Dowding said: “Dan’s deep knowledge and strong relationships with customers in MEP and facilities management will bring valuable insight to our executive management team. He’s passionate about delivering great service and real value.

“This appointment shows how we nurture talent and support career growth from within the business.”

Meliha Duymaz, UK chief financial officer, has also been handed responsibility for Skanska’s HS2 work alongside her existing role.

Adam McDonald, Executive vice president and chief commercial officer, will hold executive leadership of the firm’s infrastructure operations on an interim basis in addition to his existing responsibilities and executive oversight of Cementation Skanska, which is led by managing director Andy Entwistle.

In the longer term, executive vice president Terry Muckian will lead the infrastructure operations and hold executive responsibility for Cementation Skanska on a permanent basis.

Skanska UK said this phased approach aims to minimise disruption for both its customers and employees while a successor is recruited.

All changes take place with immediate effect. There are no changes to responsibilities for executive vice presidents Adam Crossley and Jo Mortensen.
