An east Midlands council is on the hunt for a contractor to design, supply and install a high wire tourist attraction at an outdoor swimming pool.

East Lindsey district council wants to install the high wire at a pool in Skegness on the Lincolnshire coast with the aim to create "a destination venue attracting visitors from a 100 mile-plus radius".

According to the Prior Information Notice, which has been published to the Official Journal, the structure requires four vertical levels with an overall height of up to 21m.

The structure must be self-supporting and cannot use any guide ropes to add stability and strength.

It will also have to have a separate ground level component for children under five. This will be located directly under the main structure with a separate access point to this area.

A contract notice inviting firms to bid for the job is due to be published in October.
