An atrium created in the 1980s to connect three buildings at GlaxoSmithKline's UK headquarters in Harlow, Essex, has been transformed by Mark Roche Associates.
The architect has provided the atrium with a spatial coherence where none existed before. Main contractor was Walter Lilly, project manager was Facilities Projects Group/Currie & Brown and services consultant was MG Partnership.
