Construction firms brave stormy weather at the 10th London Dragon Boat Challenge and raise £21,000 for charity

Despite heavy downpours, 38 teams competed in the 10th Construction Industry Dragon Boat Challenge, although one boat with the Arup team on board capsized.

The overall winners of the event, held at the West Reservoir Centre in north London, were Stace LLP. The property consultants, who took the title for the second year in a row, won a closely fought final to beat Wallis Interiors into second place, with Modus in third and Norman Disney & Young in fourth.

Top mixed crew were Modus and highest-placed Premier crew were Stace. Modus also won the Charity Trophy, which raised £12,000 for CRASH, the Construction and Property Industries Charity for Homeless People.

The event, sponsored by Building, raised a total of £21,400 for charity.
