The 10 were chosen from 139 expressions of interest to compete for the design of a new extension and refurbishment of the Whitworth Art Gallery, at the University of Manchester.
The 10 are:
- Amanda Levete Architects

The longlist of 10 will be interviewed by a jury panel, after which they will be whittled down to a list of five. Shortlisted designs will be submitted in September, with a winner selected in November.
