Previous division MD Paul Sheffield replaces John Dodds as chief executive
Kier has appointed Steve Bowcott as managing director of its construction division, the arm previously headed up by Paul Sheffield, the replacement for outgoing chief executive John Dodds.
Outgoing chief executive John Dodds said: “I congratulate Steve on this new appointment and am confident that his wide experience and knowledge of the industry will prove to be a great asset in ensuring the future growth and success of our construction operations.”
Bowcott joined the £2.1bn-turnover company in January 2007 as a director of Kier Regional where he has recently held the role of one of two deputy managing directors and chairman of Kier Scotland and Kier Northern.
He previously headed up Amec’s construction division and before that was managing director of John Mowlem’s building division.
