Housebuilder makes claim for £110,000 over Canvey Island project

Housebuilder Stewart Milne Group is suing construction company Protex Corporation in a row over work at Canvey Island in Essex.

Stewart Milne, trading as Stewart Milne Timber Systems, carried out work for Protex, and the two companies entered into a settlement agreement in June this year, according to a High Court writ.

Stewart Milne now accuses Protex of failing to make proper payment and is claiming £110,000.

Half of the money should have been paid within 28 days of signature and the rest when a part D document was issued by the NHBC, the writ says. Stewart Milne is also seeking interest.
