Architect RCKa has been named as one of the winners of the ninth Europan award for up-and-coming designers, run by Cabe.

RCKa won for this vision of urban living in Stoke-on-Trent, called City Slipway. RCKa is a collaboration between architects Russell Curtis, Tim Riley, Dieter Kleiner and Justin Bridgland. The other winning practice was Tom Russell Architects, for a design for Milton Keynes, entitled “a forest in the city”. The competition runs across 73 sites in 22 countries.
