Dutch consultant increases margin target 10% after strong growth in first nine months of the year

The Dutch parent of cost consultant and project manager AYH has increased its margin target to 10% following strong growth in the first nine months of the year.

EBITA profit at Arcadis, the Dutch consulting and engineering group, increased 50% to €19.6m (£13.2m) for the third quarter. Over the first three quarters earnings before interest, taxes and goodwill amortisation rose 43% to €54.9m (£37.1m).

Gross revenue growth increased 32% and organic growth rose 12%.

As a result of the growth Arcadis increased its margin by 2%. The target in the environment division has risen 1-2% to 12%-13%. The company said that most of its growth in its environmental sector came from the UK and Netherlands.

CEO Harrie L.J. Noy said of the results: “Performance is good across the board, both geographically and in each of our three service areas.”

In July this year AYH expanded its project management activities by acquiring Berkeley Consulting.
