Man remains in intensive care as HSE investigates

A chartered surveyor has been seriously injured at a building site in Basingstoke.

A source said the man, who is in his fifties, is extremely experienced, and “unlikely to have placed himself in a position of danger”. He is being treated at Southampton hospital, where he remains in intensive care.

The police arrived on the scene soon after the incident, and the Health and Safety Executive is investigating.
