T Clarke has posted a return to profit for 2015.

The M&E specialist posted pre-tax profit of £3.5m for 2015, compared to a loss of £800,000 the previous year. Turnover increased 16% to £242m, up from £208m, while its order book stood at £300m.

The firm said it was boosted by an upturn in demand across its markets, led by London but also across the regions, which allowed the company to be more selective in bidding work.

T Clarke picked up work on projects including Great Portland Street’s Rathbone Square and Land Securities Nova project in London, Ruskin Square in Croydon and M&E work for HMRC Newcastle.

T Clarke chief executive Mark Lawrence said the year had been one of “progression” for the firm, albeit one still with “some bumps”.
