Taking to the floor: Selfridges' 12,000 m2 store opened in Exchange Square, Manchester, earlier this month. Each of its five floors was designed by a different architect – pictured is the third floor, housing the entertainment department, designed by Italian practice Cibic & Partners. The other firms that worked on the scheme were Stanton Williams, Future Systems, Adjaye Associates and Belgian practice Vincent Van Duysen.
