PM role to help with trial running of trains

Turner & Townsend is to provide project management and assurance support for Crossrail.

The Rail for London Infrastructure team has brought in the consultant to work on the Crossrail Engineering Safety and Assurance Case (CESAC), which is required for the next phase of testing and trial running of the railway.

The role is part of the ongoing work for trial running of trains

The CESAC will allow Crossrail to prove that its engineering safety and assurance obligations have been achieved.

The appointment was made through the Transport for London project and programme management services framework, whose members include Mace, Gleeds and Lendlease.

T&T was among a host of consultants to be appointed to TfL’s various professional services frameworks in June.

Aecom, Arcadis, CPC Project Services and Currie and Brown are all on the project and programme management deal.
