Former Tay Homes chief executive Bill Bannister has joined rival housebuilder Wilson Connolly as a regional chairman.
Bannister leaves Tay today and will join Wilson Connolly next week. He will be responsible for Wilcon’s Southern, Western and Cheshire regions.

Bannister’s appointment continues the game of musical chairs for housebuilder directors after a series of takeovers and restructurings. Former Wilcon chief executive John Tutte is now a regional chairman at Redrow and Graeme McCallum, who was ousted when Wimpey bought Alfred McAlpine Homes, is now Wilcon’s chief executive.

Meanwhile, Redrow has announced that its £29m takeover of Tay has been finalised. This has led to the exit of Tay chairman John Maunders and board members Sir Eric Pountain and Peter Hedges. They have been replaced by Redrow directors.
