Tea or coffin? This restaurant in the crypt of the Debenhams-owned Browns of Chester store is part of a multimillion-pound extension and refurbishment designed by Simons Design. The 20,000 ft2, three-storey extension added 20% to the store’s floor space. The main contractor was Simpson Construction, the QS was Fitzsimon, structural engineer was Thomason Partnership, and project manager was Capital.
